FOOD: The PsoriaFIX
Anti-Inflammation Diet
What is PsoriaFIX AID?
The PsoriaFIX anti-inflammation diet (AID) is an elimination diet that removes all foods and substances with the potential of causing inflammation in your body, and focusing on foods and substances that are inflammation neutral or anti-inflammatory. Inflammation is the result of your immune system “reacting” negatively to a substance, often a protein, that it considers to be a foreign body. For those with auto-immune disorders, the immune system is also misidentifying some of your own proteins as “foreign” and therefore attacking those areas of your body, or in the case of psoriasis, your skin.
Once the auto-immune disorder is FIXed, you can carefully begin adding some of the old foods back into your diet if you wish, one at a time, to identify the food(s) that cause you problems. Some foods will simply never be tolerated by your body, but when you see the results of your beautiful, clear, normal skin without those painful and unsightly plaques, it will be a no-brainer to not eat those foods!
Who Does It Work For?
The PsoriaFIX AID was specifically designed to reduce inflammation and heal leaky gut to stop psoriasis cold in its tracks, reverse it, and help the body completely heal. However, this diet is amazingly healthy for pretty much everyone and perfectly safe, so it can be followed indefinitely!
NOTICE: PsoriaFIX AID will likely lower your blood pressure and your blood glucose. If you take medications for blood pressure or glucose, these prescriptions may need to be altered. Be sure to tell your doctor you are starting a low carbohydrate diet so changes to your medications can be made if necessary.
The Basic Idea
YES: Healthy meats, flowers, leaves, stems, and roots.
NO: Grains, seeds, nuts, beans, eggs, dairy, night shades, or sweets.
Only drink water.
What Does That Mean Exactly?
DO EAT THIS
- Healthy Meats: Unprocessed, organic (if possible), uncured, no preservatives, no hormones, no antibiotics. Beef should be grass-fed. Add organ meats and bone broth
- Flowers: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Artichoke, Romanesco (there are many actual “flowers” you can eat as well like Pansies, but these are not explored with PsoriaFIX AID)
- Stems: Asparagus, Celery, Fennel, Bok Choy, Bamboo Shoots, Mushrooms

- Low Sweetness Fruits: Avocado, Olives, Coconut (if no allergy), berries other than strawberries, lemons, limes, grapefruit
- Oils & Fats: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Lard (organic)
- Drinks: Water, tea, black coffee (in moderation), bone broth
DO NOT EAT THAT
- Sugar: All forms of sugar, natural and artificial sweeteners, syrups, nectar, juice, honey
- All Grains: Including rice, corn, oats, millet, sorghum, and quinoa. All grains.
- All Nuts: Exception is coconut. Almonds might be re-introduced after 30 days
- All Seeds: Including spices (e.g. paprika, cayenne, mustard) from seeds
- All Beans (Legumes): No hummus. Possible to re-introduce peas after 30 days
- Sweet Fruits
- Oils & Fats: Any oil from seeds, nuts, or legumes, transfats
- Dairy: Might be possible to re-introduce goat or sheep dairy after 30 days
- Eggs: Egg whites are the most inflammation causing part of the egg.
- Condiments: Mustard, Ketchup, Mayonnaise, salad dressings, and dips or sauces that contain any of the foods to avoid
- Drinks: Anything with calories, natural or artificial sweeteners, added flavors, preservatives, or chemicals. Don't drink your calories. Beer must be eliminated entirely. Possible to re-introduce distilled spirits or red wine in moderation after 30 days

PsoriaFIX AID Diet In Detail
The PsoriaFIX anti-inflammation diet consists of high fiber, healthy fats and protein, and nutrient-dense ultra-low carbohydrate foods.
Essentially you can eat any healthy, unprocessed, organic (if possible) meat that does not have preservatives, hormones, or antibiotics. In the case of beef it should be grass-fed. Emphasis should be placed on poultry and fish. Healthy pork is also good, for example organic, uncured bacon. Focus on pasture raised, humanely treated animals and wild seafood.
Veggies, with a few exceptions should come from the leaves, flowers, stalk, or roots of the plant. Think broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, lettuce, etc. Avoid foods from the sex organs of plants, the fruits, nuts, and seeds. Avoid all night shades. Night shades are all peppers known as capsicum like bell peppers, jalapenos, etc. (not black pepper, that’s a berry and is OK), tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplant.
High fat fruits such as avocados, olives, and coconuts are very good and are used extensively in PsoriaFIX AID. Other fruits allowed are blueberries, black berries, raspberries, and similar low-sweetness berries. Strawberries should be avoided. The general rule is, “if it tastes sweet, it’s got sugar”.
Do not eat any simple carbohydrates (starch or sweet). Aside from immune system reactions, simple carbohydrates and sugar are high-glycemic foods and dramatically raise insulin directly resulting in inflammation as well as metabolic syndrome leading to obesity and ultimately diabetes. Eliminate ALL bread, tortillas, pizza, French fries, potatoes, bagels, pasta, rice, crackers, pastries, candy, sugar, etc. For example, one average bagel by itself is 300 calories and over 60g carbs. All these foods are very high in simple carbohydrates which, as far as your blood system is concerned, are exactly the same as white table sugar. Not only are these foods causing and aggravating your psoriasis, they are making you insulin resistant which after years of abuse lead to metabolic syndrome, inflammation, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Insulin resistance is now becoming recognized as the predictor and cause of heart disease, not cholesterol. Carbs also lead to the obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease epidemics in our children, including ADD! Let's get our kids off of high carb, processed junk foods, snacks, sodas, and candy, and get them on a healthy, whole-food diet and stop taking Ritalin!
Daily intake of carbohydrates should be kept to 25g per day or less!
To calculate carbs, simply look at the nutrition label on the back of any food item, find the “Total Carbohydrate” number and subtract the “Dietary Fiber” number for each serving. PsoriaFIX AID has already done these calculations for you and the example daily menu above is roughly 27g of carbs with the blueberries for dessert, and 18g carbs without.
For each meal, more than 2/3 of your portions should be high fiber veggies with 1/3 or less being a healthy unprocessed meat.
PsoriaFIX Anti-Inflammation Diet is what is known as a “keto-genic diet” due to its ultra-low carbohydrate levels. Though PsoriaFIX AID was designed to reverse and eliminate your psoriasis and other auto-immune related issues, it will also probably lead to weight loss. This is a great added bonus if you happen to have a couple extra pounds you’d like to get rid of, but for people who already have very low body-mass indexes (BMI less than 18), you will want to adjust your portions and calorie intake accordingly. Since there is a strong correlation between psoriasis and obesity (people with psoriasis have increased odds of being obese by over 50%), there is a good chance you may be doubly pleased as you reverse psoriasis AND lose weight!
A very rough way to calculate how many calories you should eat each day is to multiply your ideal target body weight in pounds by 10. This number is a simple approximation of how many calories your body burns every 24 hours at rest, at that weight. For example, a man who weighs 200 lbs. and wishes to drop to 175 lbs. should only eat 1750 calories each day on average if he doesn’t exercise. With daily activity and exercise the body will burn additional calories which can either be added to his daily food allowance, or if not, result in faster adjustment to the target weight.

Bacon? Really?
Yes, really! Since the 80’s, we have been conditioned to believe that fat is the “bad guy”. Well now after 3 decades of modern research we now have proof this is NOT the case. In fact, by cutting out the fat our society has INCREASED health problems such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and auto-immune related disorders! As it turns out, our bodies NEED healthy fat in our diet to function properly.
To make matters worse, when the western-medical-science industry teamed up with the food industry to demonize fat, they were actually recommending that we increase our uptake of the real troublemaker, simple carbohydrates, which have the same effect on our blood glucose levels as pure, white, granulated table sugar! All those “low-fat and natural” product commercials we know so well sell us food that have the fat removed and replaced with sugar. Talk about a double-whammy!
So healthy, organic, uncured bacon is ABSOLUTELY on the menu! Again we stress finding products sourced only from healthy, humanely treated, pasture raised animals. To understand the relationship between carbs and fat in our diet and how they impact our health, check out the detailed explanation here that will show you all the latest research and science breakthroughs that are happening to help us truly understand how our bodies work and how to optimize our health.
To FIX and eliminate your psoriasis, variety is NOT your friend. You need to eat to live, not live to eat. This may be a little difficult at first since everyone in western culture has been indoctrinated with ideas about food that run counter to healing auto-immune disorders. Not to mention the severe carb addiction most Americans have from the “Standard American Diet” (SAD) which can be more powerful than a chemical addiction to heroin! But ask yourself this tough question: How badly do you want to FIX your psoriasis?
Nothing Tastes As Good As Being Healthy Feels!
THERE IS A FIX!
To assist you in breaking your addiction to carbs and other inflammation-causing foods, it is good to have the simplest, healthy meal plan possible to make the FIX easy to do while still tasting great. For example, a simple way to do this is to find one breakfast and one lunch menu that you can do every single day without fail, then mix it up at dinner time. Example dinners include chicken breast with spinach and mushrooms, salmon and asparagus, steak and broccoli, or one of our favorites, turkey taco salad!
FIXing Psoriasis Should Taste Great
The example menu above is a perfect way to achieve these goals. However, feel free to design your own breakfast and lunch menus that achieve the nutritional guidelines here at PsoriaFIX while adhering to the rules of healthy meats and high fibers vegetables and under 25g carbs every day.
