FAQ

Q:  How long does PsoriaFIX take to work?

A:  PsoriaFIX begins working immediately.  As soon as you take away the triggers that cause psoriasis, your gut, immune system, and skin begin healing immediately.

Q:  How long will I take to heal?

A:  Like any injury, the more severe it is the longer it will take to heal.  Once your immune system calms down, your skin may take from several days to several weeks to revert to normal looking skin.  Be patient.  Stick to the program.  It works!

Q:  Why do I have psoriasis?

A:  Psoriasis is the rash of your skin caused by your inflamed immune system attacking your own skin cells.  Your immune system does this in most cases because it has been "triggered" by environmental stimuli and lifestyle such as food, drink, chemicals, or pathogens, leading to the immune system mis-identifying "self cells" for triggers like gluten and its cross-reactants.  Stress, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, leaky gut, and foods that cause inflammation all contribute to psoriasis and its severity.

Q:  How long is it safe to be on the PsoriaFIX AID Diet?

A:  As long as you want or need to.  The PsoriaFIX AID Diet is a nutrient dense ultra-low carbohydrate diet similar to Paleo, but removing any of the foods that might cause inflammation.  Once your psoriasis or auto-immune related issue is reversed and healed, you can begin to carefully add back in foods that might cause intolerance.

Q:  How do I know which foods I am intolerant to?

A:  A couple of ways.  First you can and should get food allergy and food sensitivity tests to take the guess work out of identifying foods.  You can purchase a high quality home food sensitivity test from the PsoriaFIX Products page.  You should consult with your doctor about a food allergy test.  Second, you can simply do trial and error.  Once you are at "baseline" having reversed and healed your psoriasis, simply begin adding foods one at a time to your diet performing tests along the way.  Eat enough of just one food you would like to re-introduce on one day that should cause a reaction.  Then you must wait for 48-72 hours to monitor how your skin reacts.  If you do not see psoriasis plaques begin to form, your should be OK.

Q:  Why do I need to wait 48-72 hours to test foods?

A:  Food intolerances are delayed-type hypersensitivities (DTH) that take time for your body to react negatively.  They work along a completely different immune pathway (IgG) to allergic responses (IgE), which typically happen very quickly, within hours of exposure.

Q:  Is psoriasis a disease?

A:  According to the technical medical definition, yes, save one caveat:  injury.  Diseases are health problems with your body NOT due to physical injury.  But is poisoning a physical injury?  Of course it is and we argue that auto-immune related "dysfunctions" in many if not most case are injuries to your cells, your epi-genetics, and your immune system.  Think of it like a slow-burn poison that happens to your body over years or even decades.  And like poisoning, you need to stop poisoning yourself to cease causing the immediate damage, and then take the necessary steps and give your body time to heal.

Q:  Is PsoriaFIX a cure?

A:  Not if you define psoriasis as a "disease", but it's the next best thing!  Auto-immune diseases are due to a change in your epi-genetics, that is how your DNA expresses itself due to genes switching on or off due to environmental influences and nutrition.  Once that genie is let out of the bottle, there is no way to put it back, at least not yet.  However, science is hard at work researching genetic therapies that may someday reverse this process.  PsoriaFIX is a lifestyle change to turn off the effects, the symptoms, of the root cause of psoriasis so that you can get your life back, happy, healthy, and psoriasis free.  As an added bonus, you will probably feel healthier than you have in a long time, if not your entire life.  And in the mean time, you can help by donating to PsoriFIX's central mission to research immune and genetic therapies, and to eventually "put the genie back in the bottle".
